“Regenerating the Global Economy” Session introduction: Could autonomous vehicles, general-purpose robots, and renewable materials converge and together lead to a recalibration of our global economy, replacing the current linear economic incentive with a circular one? And could many of today’s physical single-purpose product categories be disrupted by multi-purpose robots?
During this session, Christopher Lyrhem, Chief Future Officer at Sircular, will present his take on how the manufacturing tech stack could transform and lead to a period of substantial reshoring of manufacturing capacity back to high-wage countries. Additionally, as innovation increasingly transcends borders, the session will explore the mindset of global market expansion—how technological advancements and new business models should be designed with ambitious international scaling in mind, rather than remaining confined to domestic markets, encouraging entrepreneurs to think beyond their home markets and seize global opportunities.
Speaker introduction: Christopher calls himself a ’disruptive analyst’ and has held various research positions over the past 16 years, including equity research, portfolio management, and future & strategy, predominantly for SEB, and now as Chief Future Officer at Sircular (investment research company in the AI field). He is the author of the extensive research report called ‘Regenerate the Economic Machine’ where he’s combined a spectrum of perspectives (technology, economics, culture, politics, and finance) and argues for entrepreneurial disruptive innovation as the key to solve the climate crisis equation (not broad cooperation).
